portsmouth uk fossil blog

i've been picking up fossils along the same seashore in the southern UK, for many years now, and have been meaning to start cataloguing them for about the same length of time. Now i have finally started, i find i have hundreds to sort! I have very limited knowledge but a keen interest. i do however have a interest and some knowledge in model making, moulding and casting, and its here i find most of my unanswered questions and seeming enigmas in the casts that i find on the shore.

no idea what this is, but the angular aperture with the triangular insert is interesting, i did think at first it was muscle structure but close up it just looks like noodles
